Marking the 10th anniversary of Ray Davey’s passing

Davey Village is part of the Corrymeela Campus at Ballycastle, County Antrim, and is dedicated to the memory of founders' Ray and Kathleen Davey. Today, 16th April 2022, marks the 10th anniversary of Ray's passing. Below is an audio interview with Ray from the 1980's when he was interviewed by John Callister as research for a BBC documentary

A lovely story of goodness and humanity from RTE:

The owner of Ballindooley Castle in County Galway, Barry Haughian, was moved to action after seeing the devastation and the humanitarian crisis visited on Ukraine when the Russian army invaded.  As a result, four Ukrainian families have been given refuge and the chance for a new start after Barry travelled to Poland and arranged for them to accompany him to Ireland.

It was there that the Lord opened up my awareness of my lack of faith. Even though it came about late, I recognised my failings. So I turned with all my heart to the Lord my God, and he looked down on my lowliness and had mercy on my youthful ignorance. He protected me and consoled me as a father does for his son.
